Allow me to introduce myself. My name is Chandra. I am a creative who uses my passion for words and lettering to uplift, inspire, and empower others, whether it be through quotes, Scripture, or illustration.
I've loved art all my life and I am especially drawn to handwriting and typography. As a child I would study {and secretly copy) my father's signature, practicing over and over again the upward and downward strokes, flourishes, and loops. Eventually his style became my own and my practice grew into a passion for lettering any other names, words, and phrases that piqued my interest. Friends would ask me to draw their names in a variety of styles and I would mimic calligraphy, graffiti, and any other form I came across.
Decades later you can still find me with a pencil, a sharpie--or any other black pen or marker--pouring out my soul onto a page. This is what I love. I only hope others can feel the passion and love that flows from my pen into the world.
